Perchance to Dream
Comedy
$13.00

Perchance to Dream blends the boundaries of improv, clown, and classical theater. Onstage Colorado recently described the show as, “Astonishing, seamless... something to behold. Comedy unlike anything I’ve ever seen.” Inspired by fantastical worlds and pitiful characters this show is a unique collision of the vision of a Shakespearean actor and with the heart of a clown. Anatasha Blakely is a classical actor, performing with the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and was recently in Hamlet at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Jet Eveleth was a clown in the cirque show Absinthe, described by The Huffington Post as, “Mind-altering... poetic and insulting. The greatest show on earth.” Jet also toured with The Second City and was a professor of comedy studies at Columbia College. This unlikely pair of artists have come together to follow absurdity and face the great unknown with truth and presence.

“If a good joke is one that no one expects, then Eveleth has done just that. Just five minutes in, the tension had the crowd howling with laughter... I got the feeling these two could reach into each other’s minds. Astonishing, seamless... something to behold. They had us in the palm of their hand and the laughter and applause was insatiable. Comedy unlike anything I’ve ever seen. ”-Onstage Colorado

"Jet Eveleth is a freaking genius. Full stop. Do yourself the favor of seeing her perform live. I haven't felt this inspired and delighted in a while. What a gorgeous and heartfelt show of pure joy." -Maria Bamford
