The Manly Men Seminar is a high-energy comedic play in which two women portray Rex and Blade, a pair of cargo-wearing "masculinity gurus" hawking a $3,200 seminar on how to get laid. Fueled by testosterone injections, ripped muscle tanks and an absurd amount of shotgunned beer, the duo barrels through a 12 step, “clinically backed and rigorously tested” program that slowly unravels into something unexpectedly tender. The show is equal parts parody, love letter, and a chaotic observation on the most entertaining tropes of the modern man. The Manly Men Seminar asks what happens when the performance of masculinity cracks open just enough to let something real through.
